Start by building the frame UPRIGHT [as shown] on your work surface. Use the right angled corner of a piece of card to line up the upright parts. LEAVE TO SET! |

When set turn the frame the other way up and glue the other pieces. Yes. . . . . . . LEAVE TO SET! |

Push the long piece of wood that forms the NECK into the slot formed in the frame. The neck can be any length. GLUE IN PLACE and . . . . . . . ? |
4sound box |

When all is
REALLY set put your 'sound
box' in the frame and wedge with the BRIDGE. You will have to cut the bridge to suit the container you are using. eg. a margarine tub will probably be less tall than a drinking cup so the bridge will need to be longer |

Tie the thread to a drawing pin pushed into the end of the frame. Stretch the thread the full length of the instrument and fasten it under the far end of the neck. Pull very tight! -tip: fit the thread NEXT to the bridge and then stretch it over the bridge once it's fastened. It will make it tighter. |
