Flute

The flute requires no reed - air is blown across the hole to produce a sound. The fingering is very similar to the saxophone and flute players find it relatively easy to play the saxophone.
Whilst initial fingering is reasonably simple for beginners, it takes years of practice to develop the correct embouchure or mouth position. The flute is at concert pitch.
